ADVISORY BOARD
“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed” (Proverbs 15:22).
We are pleased to introduce our Advisory Board Members. It is an honor to have each of them on our board:
1. Robert Case: Senior Pastor/Calvary Chapel Eastside
Robert Case graduated from the University of Washington in 1976 with a B.A. in Fine Art. He performed in nightclubs throughout the western United States and Canada until giving his life to the Lord in 1977. In1980, he heeded the call to full-time ministry, and for the next ten years traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia with the Robert Case Band singing and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. During that time they produced praise/worship tapes in English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Russian.
In 1990 he joined the pastoral staff of Calvary Fellowship Seattle where he served for seven years overseeing such ministries as the School of Discipleship, Worship, Missions, and Media. On December 1, 1996 he joyfully assumed the pastorate at Calvary Chapel Eastside in Bellevue, Washington.
2. Merlyn Linden: Associate Pastor/Calvary Chapel Eastside
Merlyn Linden has served at Calvary Chapel Eastside as an associate pastor since 1999. He oversees numerous ministries including Missions, Youth Ministry, and Men’s Ministry. Merlyn has a real heart for Missions and has ventured out on eight mission trips over the years to places such as Ecuador, Belize, Germany, and Mexico.
Prior to coming to Calvary Chapel Eastside, Merlyn served as an elder at Issaquah Nazarene Church for five years.
3. Philip D. Ranheim, M.D.
Philip Ranheim, M.D., received a B.A. in Sociology from Pacific Lutheran University, and later he received his medical degree from the University of Washington. He worked as a family physician for 18 years before changing the focus of his practice to allergies and environmentally related illnesses.
Dr. Ranheim became interested in Environmental Medicine through first-hand experience with illness. After progressively worsening migraines, dizziness, kidney stones, fatigue, and recurrent sinus infections (that just wouldn't get better in spite of the usual treatment), he was referred to a physician who specialized in "Environmental Medicine." With optimal nutrition, fine-tuned allergy desensitization, and environmental controls, he was able to regain health, feel a lot better, and embark on a new career in a growing field. He now devotes all his time to this specialty.
His professional associations include being a fellow in the American Academy of Environmental Medicine and the American Academy of Family Practice. Additionally, he is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Dr. Ranheim is a minister of music and an elder at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church. He is bilingual in Spanish and English. www.drpdranheim.com
